Our Story
GameZone Expo was founded in 2019 by a passionate group of gaming enthusiasts and technology innovators who envisioned creating Australia's premier destination for interactive gaming experiences. What began as a modest gathering of 5,000 attendees in a converted warehouse has evolved into the continent's largest gaming exhibition, attracting over 25,000 visitors annually.
In 2021, we made history by introducing Australia's first dedicated VR gaming zone at a major expo, featuring 15 cutting-edge virtual reality stations. The overwhelming response inspired us to expand our vision, and by 2023, we had added comprehensive AR experiences, creating an immersive environment where visitors could explore the future of gaming technology.
Our move to the prestigious Innovation Way location in Canberra in 2024 marked a new chapter. The state-of-the-art facility allowed us to triple our exhibition space and introduce professional esports tournaments, indie game showcases, and developer networking events. Today, GameZone Expo stands as a testament to our commitment to innovation, community, and the transformative power of interactive entertainment.
